Program Description

A panel of high-level experts will discuss how the financial meltdown has changed the execution of business around the world and what other changes can be expected in the near future. The panelists will also discuss how the legal landscape has changed for business transactions, including cross-border deals and the various roles of lawyers in that context.

This program will focus on the changed expectations in respect of government(s)/regulators,

  • What regulatory developments have occurred or are likely to occur?
  • Who will provide leverage and on what basis?
  • What types of deals are being done, where, by whom, and how are they structured?
  • Is another crisis possible in the near future and if so how can it be prevented?
  • What types of legal expertise will be sought in a post-meltdown world?
