Program Faculty

John F. Beasley, Jr. is of counsel to the firm of Buckley & Klein LLP in Atlanta. He has over 19 years of litigation experience and specializes in the representation of employees in civil rights and employment-related cases. In addition, he is an active member of the National Employment Lawyers Association and serves in leadership roles for the ABA Section of Labor and Employment Law and its Employment Rights and Responsibilities Committee.

Kevin M. Covert is the vice president and deputy general counsel for Human Resources at Honeywell International Inc. At Honeywell, Mr. Covert is responsible for all legal matters including litigation, compliance and corporate transactions relating to labor, employment, employee benefits, and compensation. Additionally, he oversees labor negotiations and  the language of collective bargaining agreements.

Gary Eidelman is a partner in Saul Ewing's Business Department, where he practices management labor and employment law. His practice includes the representation and counseling of employers in a broad range of labor and employment law, litigation, and business matters. His clients range from small- to medium-size owner-managed businesses to Fortune 500 companies. He also has experience in defending housing discrimination and benefit claims under ERISA. Mr. Eidelman’s practice is national in scope, and he has represented clients before federal and state courts and administrative agencies throughout the country.

After more than 37 years of active and reserve service in the Navy, Capt. Sam Wright retired from federal service in 2008. Capt. Wright has provided representation in military law matters, particularly regarding reemployment rights, for over 25 years. He is a duty expert on USERRA and laws related to the Act. He has represented military personnel at the Federal Court level and in front of the MSPB. Capt. Wright joined the Washington, DC, office of Tully Rinckey PLLC in 2008 to further complete its team of experts on legal matters affecting the Armed Forces. Capt. Wright is regarded as the founding father of USERRA. During his time as an attorney for the U.S. Department of Labor, he largely drafted the interagency document that became the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) when Congress enacted it in 1994.
