Developing effective policies to address the issue of illegal workers is just the most visible issue in international employment law right now. But as the economy becomes more global, multi-national companies are facing a growing number of employment law issues. Among them are outsourcing, "outbound immigration" issues for employers when workers cross international borders on a less-than-permanent" basis; employment discrimination issues; reconciling corporate codes of conduct with local law and tradition. This article and podcast will identify some of the key issues in international employment law and discuss how they're being addressed in the United States and other key jurisdictions.
