Outer space is a frontier of the law along with science and exploration. But as the commercial use of space grows and as governments rely increasingly on satellite technology for surveillance and other purposes, the issues facing lawyers in the private and public sectors are increasing—and increasingly complex. Some of those issues relate to privacy concerns, treaty and jurisdictional regimes, contracts and regulations, and electronic communications. Sooner rather than later, these issues will affect a growing number of earth-bound lawyers and their clients. This audio program will give attorneys an early heads-up on issues that may soon be landing right in their laps.
