Significant changes in class action law raise the question of whether class actions are still an effective tool for pursuing consumer actions against manufacturers and other corporate defendants. This article and audio program addresses that question. Among the other topics, the article and audio program assesses the impact of the Class Action Fairness Act of 2005, the FTC's Class Action Fairness Project, and Proposition 64 in California, all topics considered in March at the spring meeting of the ABA Section of Antitrust Law.
