Education

Meeting the education needs of children in out-of-home care needs to be an important priority for all systems involved in the lives of children and youth. Child welfare agencies, court systems, and education systems all need to ensure that children in care have the supports and tools they need to achieve educational success.

The Resource Center has created publications and other materials to help support these efforts. The Resource Center is available to provide technical assistance on education issues and how to improve education outcomes for children in out-of-home care.
