Many judges and journalists are wary of each other and come into conflict with each other over access issues accuracy of reporting issues. The challenge is to get each side to understand the values, procedures and restrictions the other faces to begin the process of improving the relationships. In turn, greater harmony between the courts and the media will heighten public confidence in the judiciary and the legal system through greater and more accurate coverage of the work of the courts.
