Diversity Networking Reception

The Committee on Diversity is proud to host a complimentary reception to kick off the Spring Meeting. We welcome all attendees of the Spring Meeting who share our vision and are interested in recruiting and retaining lawyers of color, women lawyers, lawyers with disabilities, gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender lawyers, young lawyers, and law students for active involvement in the Section. This is a great opportunity to kick off the Spring Meeting, meet experts in you field, network, and reacquaint with old friends and colleagues.




First-Timers' Reception
Thursday, April 10 - 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

We welcome first-time meeting attendees! Get to know the Section of Business Law at this complimentary and casual reception, designed especially for first-timers. This event will give you the opportunity to meet Section's Officers, Council, and Committee Chairs and discuss the latest developments in business law and how the Section can help you in your practice.




Welcome Reception
Thursday, April 10 - 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

The Section Welcome Reception will be held at the Hilton Anatole's seven-acre sculpture garden, which features a reconstructed white marble pavilion from India, 16 teakwood bells commissioned in Bangkok, and two sections of the Berlin Wall. Join your Business Law colleagues and meet new ones at this elegant event. Cocktails and refreshments will be provided, and admission is free to all attendees and their guests.




Women's Business Law Network (WBLN) Sweet Endings Dessert Reception
Thursday, April 10 - 10:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.

You're invited to an end-of-the-evening dessert party hosted by WBLN. After your committee or other dinner, come meet the women leaders of the Section and connect with other attendees at the Spring Meeting. Dessert will be compliments of the WBLN.




Women's Business Advocates Reception
Friday, April 11 - 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

The Section's Committee on Business and Corporate Litigation/Subcommittee on Women Business and Commercial Advocates cordially invites you to attend the Women's Business Advocates Reception honoring Ebby Halliday and Justice Carolyn Wright. Shuttle transportation will begin at the Hilton Anatole Dallas at 5:00 p.m. and run every 30 minutes until 6:30 p.m.




Pro Bono Breakfast and Committee Meeting
Friday, April 11 - 7:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

Please join the Committee on Pro Bono for a morning of pro bono activities as the Committee hosts a complimentary breakfast. Speakers will present their unique perspective on the role of business lawyers in providing legal services that directly or indirectly help the poor. Meet and network wit the Section's National Public Service Award recipients and other prominent business law pro bono community participants.

The Committee will meet immediately following the breakfast and is open to all Section members.




Section Luncheon
Friday, April 11, from 12:30 p.m. - 2:15 p.m.

This year, don't miss out on the opportunity to hear Robert Crandall, former President and Chairman, American Airlines discuss "Leading for Growth During Changing Times". Also, during the Luncheon, the Section will honor the recipients of the National Public Service Awards, the Jean Allard Glass Cutter Award and the authors of recently published books. Section Dinner
The Dallas Museum of Art
Friday, April 11, from 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

Join us at the Dallas Museum of Art for the Section Dinner. The Dallas Museum of Art presents the largest and most comprehensive retrospective ever held in the United States of the career of J.M.W. Turner (1775-1851), one of the greatest landscape painters in the history of art. Guests of the Section Dinner will enjoy exclusive access to this exhibit, as well as certain other DMA exhibits.The format will be less formal and more interactive than a typical seated dinner.
