Help us help you
The Section of Business Law strives to provide members with information on ABA/Section news and events in a timely manner. E-mail and listservs (global mailing lists) have proven to be effective tools for communication. Therefore, we hope to use them whenever practical.
However, we need your support in our effort to collect this information. If you did not include your e-mail address in your ABA membership data or if you have an e-mail address change, please submit that information via the Change of Address Form at http://www.abanet.org/members/join/coa1. or by fax at 312/988-5528, or contact the ABA Service Center at 1-800/285-2221 (312/988-5522 for international lawyers).
Your e-mail address will only be used within the ABA and its entities - we do not sell or rent e-mail addresses to anyone outside the ABA (see the ABA privacy statement at the above Web site). You may also remove your name from future general distribution of e-mails via the Change of Address Form or ABA Service Center.
Please note, however, that removing your name from the general distribution of e-mails will not remove you from any of the Section's internal committee/subcommittee listservs to which you are subscribed - you must manually unsubscribe from those lists. If you have any questions concerning all this, please do not hesitate to contact the ABA Service Center (number above) or the Business Law Section staff (312/988-5588).

A multicultural 'done that'
Pamela Dashiell, Section Council member, and Karen Wong, Diversity Committee co-chair, have letters in the Commission on Racial and Ethnic Diversity in the Profession's new publication, Dear Sisters, Dear Daughters: Words of Wisdom from Multicultural Women Attorneys Who've Been There and Done That. To purchase a copy, contact the ABA Service Center at 1-800/285-2221.
Call for nominations
Nominations are now open for the Glass Cutter Award, National Public Service Award and Mendes Hershman Student Writing Contest. The deadline for nominating is Feb. 1, 2001. For additional information and awards criteria, call 312/988-5588 or e-mail businesslaw@abanet.org.
It's census time again
The ABA is in the process of collecting information from members. The more accurate the member pro-file, the better the ABA and Sections can tailor the information and legal resources we provide to the member's specific needs. So don't be left out - when you receive your questionnaire, be sure to complete and return the form to the ABA as soon as possible.
For additional information on Section activities, visit our Web site at www.abanet.org/buslaw or contact the Section staff at 312/988-5588 (or by e-mail at businesslaw@abanet.org).
New class of Fellows
The Business Law Fellows Program announces its third class. The 2000-2002 "Fellows" are: Patrick T. Clendenen, Boston; Dale M. Weppner, St. Louis; David A. Gemunder, Tampa, Fla.; La Rhonda Barnes, Atlanta; Joseph K. Beach, Tuscaloosa, Ala.
The program, which was developed to strengthen relations between the Section and the Young Lawyers Division, provides funding to enable five Business Law "Fellows" to attend Section meetings and become actively involved in the substantive work of the Section.
