The Legacy of Brown v. Board of Education: Reflections on the Last Fifty Years
In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Brown, Yale Law School and Howard University School of Law are jointly sponsoring conferences in February (at Howard) and April (at Yale) 2004. The conferences bring together scholars, practitioners, educators, and those intimately involved in the landmark decision in order to commemorate Brown, discuss its legacy and limitations, and explore its implications for the future of our democracy. Speakers for the April 1-3 conference at Yale include Lee Bollinger, Hillary Clinton, Cheryl Brown Henderson, Elaine Jones, Nathaniel Jones, Randall Kennedy, Richard Kluger, Michael McConnell, Charles Ogletree, and Gary Orfield.
