The Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association (CMBA) seeks a new executive director. The CMBA is the largest metropolitan bar association in Ohio, serving about 6,000 members in the Northeast Ohio area.
Duties
Key responsibilities include:
  • Promoting the CMBA's mission, increasing membership, creating strategies to increase value to the organization's members, creating and promoting organization initiatives, and providing direction and oversight to fundraising opportunities;
  • Managing the bar's operations and resources, including its staff, budget, more than 50 committees and sections, its subsidiary insurance agency and its Foundation;
  • Planning, formulating, and recommending policies and programs consistent with the bar's strategic plan;
  • Assuring the sound financial integrity and management of all entities; and
  • Serving as executive director of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Foundation and reporting to the presidents and the boards of trustees of each organization.
Qualifications
Although a law degree is not required, the ideal candidate should have a clear understanding of the various issues facing lawyers and the legal profession. Candidates should be innovative, creative, and enjoy working collaboratively and constructively with others in this vibrant and diverse legal community.
Salary & Benefits
The CMBA will offer salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
