The Intellectual Property Committee
has an ongoing project (started in December, 2003) that involves
the review of publications that analyze competition issues related
to intellectual property. Over time, the Committee hopes to
develop a comprehensive annotated bibliography that identifies
and describes the key publications that relate to the interface
between antitrust law and intellectual property.
All article summaries provide a brief overview of the article,
identifying the key topics that are discussed in the article.
However, reviewers have been encouraged to provide somewhat
more material than is found in the typical annotated bibliography
when they think it is appropriate. For example, if a paper has
some evident limitations, perhaps because of its reliance on
narrow assumptions, the reviewer has been encouraged to identify
these limitations.
Bibliography Entry
A bibliographical entry contains
the following five parts:
Author's Name
Reference Information (e.g., Title, Date of Publication, Journal
Name)
Article Summary
Summary Author
Key Words
How to Search the Bibliography
The bibliography is searchable. Any
word or combination of words can be input into the search engine
(which is shown below). This will create a list of all bibliographical
entries that contain the entered word(s) in any of the five
parts of the bibliography. For example, if one enters an author's
last name, one will get a list of the articles written by author's
with that last name which are in the annotated bibliography.
The Committee has also assigned key words to different articles
to facilitate locating all of the articles that relate to a
particular topic. To identify all the articles that relate to
a particular topic, simply enter the key word. Key words are
listed in a file that can be reached by clicking
here: Key Word File.

Disclaimers
While entries in the Annotated Bibliography
have been reviewed by the Intellectual Property Committee, these
entries reflect the views of the reviewer, not the Intellectual
Property Committee or the Antitrust Section.
As indicated above, the bibliography is an ongoing project.
Many valuable articles may not be in the bibliography. If you
believe a key article is missing, please let us know and we
will try to add them (use contact information above under "Would
You Like To Help Expand The Bibliography").
