TESTIMONIALS
The Masters Course is a one-of-a-kind learning experience. You get in each session not only a heavily experienced antitrust practitioner in the type of matter showcased, but one of the most accomplished lawyers in that specialty, be it trial practice or behind the scenes merger and criminal antitrust engagements. All of this in an intimate setting that affords excellent opportunities to meet and discuss professional experiences informally. This is not for the beginner, but probably suitable for anyone else in the antitrust field, and in particular to antitrust practitioners at least 3-5 years into their practice and tracking hard into a long-term antitrust career path.
--Michael Egge, Latham & Watkins, Washington, DC
The Masters Course is by far the crown jewel of the quality programs sponsored by the Antitrust Section. It is an excellent mid-career opportunity to focus on developing your substantive knowledge and build relationships with peers in the Section. Leadership assembles an amazing panel of speakers and faculty committed to mentoring successive generations of competition lawyers. It's not a CLE...it's an investment in your professional development.
--Paula Martucchi, Wal-Mart
I consider myself very fortunate to have attended the Masters Course III. It was the perfect combination of practical and theoretical learning on the most important topics in antitrust law. The assembled faculty are the best in the business and their willingness to transmit insights and explanations undoubtedly improved my effectiveness as a practitioner. It's a can't miss tutorial for those that plan on making a career in the world of antitrust.
--Andrea Agathoklis, Federal Trade Commission
The inaugural Masters Course I was the finest educational program sponsored by the Antitrust Section that I've attended. The excellent instructors identify the main issues in antitrust law and flesh them out rather than simply relying upon labels. I walked away from the program with usable advice for counseling and for litigation, plus materials I still use today. And all of this is in a setting that lets you get to know better your peers and some of the most distinguished government officials and private practitioners in the field. It was an enriching experience for me and I recommend it.

The Antitrust Masters program is a dynamic and intensive course aimed at lawyers who are serious about improving their skills and knowledge of antitrust law. The program is well-run, the topics are timely and interesting, and the faculty is superb - I highly recommend it!
--Lynda Marshall, Hogan & Hartson, Washington, DC
The Masters Course II was the single best CLE seminar I have attended in ten years of practice. The faculty was top-notch, and the course materials and seminar sessions were equally good. But the Masters Course was far more than just a really good seminar. Specifically, it gave me a chance to do two things a young antitrust lawyer practicing outside Washington, D.C. rarely gets to do: (1) meet and interact with a fantastic group of peers from D.C. and across the country; and (2) meet and learn from some of the leading lights of the antitrust bar, from practitioners and professors to enforcers and judges. Where else can a young lawyer sit next to the Chair of the FTC at dinner one night, spend two hours talking antitrust with a distinguished professor the next, and finish up by getting to know a Circuit Court of Appeals judge? If I had met any of those folks at a Spring Meeting or other Section function, I would have been limited to a quick hello. Instead I got to know them, and those relationships (and the relationships I built with my peers) have already paid dividends in my professional life.
