Annual Law Student Writing Competition
Antitrust Law Students: What are you waiting for? Submit now to the ABA/Section of Antitrust Law Annual Law Student Writing Competition. The prize: $2000 cash and an expenses-paid invitation to the Section’s Spring Meeting.
How to Enter:
- Publish an article in a law review or legal journal that is sponsored by an ABA-accredited law school. Eligible articles must be written by a currently-enrolled or graduating student and published between January 1, 2009 and March 1, 2010.
- Each law review or legal journal's Editor-in-Chief may nominate one paper for the award.
- Submit eligible papers in their published form. Eligible papers include published notes, comments and article and should generally be 20-30 pages in length, with footnotes. In no event may papers exceed 50 pages, with footnotes.
- Eligible papers may address any topic of general interest to the antitrust law community, including topics relating to civil and criminal antitrust law, competition policy, consumer protection and international competition law.
- Work that is not eligible includes joint papers and unpublished work, including work that was prepared for a class, seminar, or independent study.
- Go to the Antitrust Section on the ABA website and click on the "Young Lawyers and Law Students" section and download an Entry Form. Mail three copies of the paper, along with a completed Entry Form, by January 30, 2010 to:

Winners and Awards:
The winner will be announced in April 2010. The first place winner will receive a check for $2,000, and an invitation to the Antitrust Section’s Spring Meeting in Washington, DC, where the award will be presented. Airfare (if living outside of DC), accommodations, and registration will be paid by the ABA.
