2008 New York Annual Meeting |
Welcome
Dear Colleagues:
On behalf of the American Bar Association, it is a pleasure to invite you to attend the August 7-12, 2008 Annual Meeting. We are pleased to return to New York City, which offers world-class cultural attractions, restaurants, and shops.
The ABA Divisions, Sections, Committees and Commissions are developing over 200 CLE programs that will help you improve your professional skills and expertise. There will be abundant opportunities to network with judges and lawyers from around the world. The meeting also will feature the world’s largest legal EXPO, providing an array of goods and services pertaining to the practice of law.
The Opening Assembly will be held Saturday, August 9, at 5:30 pm in the Waldorf=Astoria’s Grand Ballroom. The President’s Reception will immediately follow at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). It promises to be a superb evening. We acknowledge New York lawyer, Bettina B. Plevan for her important assistance and advice to the ABA Meetings and Travel Department during the planning of the 2008 Annual Meeting. Betsy has earned all our thanks!
Your participation in the 2008 Annual Meeting is important to the development of our profession and the growth of our association. For up-to-date information about the meeting, please visit our continually updated website at www.abanet.org/annual/2008. Please join me in making this the most dynamic and well attended meeting yet.
