2007 San Francisco Annual Meeting |
Welcome
Dear Colleagues:
On behalf of the American Bar Association, it is a pleasure to invite you to attend the August 9-14, 2007 Annual Meeting. We are pleased to return to a long-time favorite ABA destination -- San Francisco -- a cosmopolitan city that promises a unique and memorable visitor experience for all. The ABA Divisions, Sections, Committees and Commissions are developing a diverse selection of the finest CLE available. San Francisco’s wonderful cultural attractions, incredible dinning options and diverse neighborhoods offer countless opportunities for you to experience this most beautiful of American cities.
Highlights being planned include over 200 CLE programs, the world's largest legal EXPO, and amazing opportunities to network with judges and lawyers from around the world. On Thursday morning, August 9, the Commission on Second Season of Service will present a showcase program titled “Second Season of Service: Making Your Time and Talent Count.” The Opening Assembly will be held Saturday, August 11, at 5:30 pm at Davies Symphony Hall; we have already secured Chanticleer, America's premiere a cappella male vocal ensemble, to be part of the program. The President's Reception will immediately follow the Opening Assembly at Moscone West. It promises to be an unforgettable evening. We acknowledge San Francisco lawyer, Mary Cranston for her important assistance and advice to the ABA Meetings and Travel Department during the planning for the 2007 Annual Meeting. She has earned all our thanks!
The American Bar Association, with a membership over 400,000 and steadily growing, invites you to share your voice and vision with colleagues and fellow leaders during the 2007 Annual Meeting. Your participation is pivotal to the growth and development of our profession. For up-to-date information on the meeting, please visit our continually updated website at www.abanet.org/annual/2007.
We hope very much to see you in San Francisco!
Sincerely,
Karen J. Mathis
