MEMBER NEWS

Ron Beal, Professor of Law at Baylor University School of Law has recently published a fourteen chapter treatise on Texas administrative law entitled Texas Administrative Practice and Procedure, published by Lexis Law Publishing, 1998. The treatise covers all aspects of rulemaking and contested case proceedings under the Texas Administrative Procedure Act as well as judicial review of agency actions not subject to the APA and an in-depth analysis of the Texas Open meetings Act. Professor Beal has written numerous law review articles on agency rulemaking that have been routinely cited by the Texas courts as authoritative sources.

George A. Beck, an Administrative Law Judge with the Minnesota Office of Administrative Hearings, is editor of the recently published second edition of Minnesota Administrative Procedure, a detailed explanation of public agency contested case and rulemaking practice in Minnesota. Information on its purchase is available from The Book Mill, (612) 825-5095.
