The National Law Journal recently had an article featuring Professor Michael Asimow of UCLA Law School and his colleague Paul Bergman. The article focused on the use of movies to help teach law. Professors Asimow and Bergman teach a course called Law and Popular Culture, and they say that the use of movies helps students to retain legal ideas. Asimow and Bergman are also the co-authors of the book "Reel Justice," a series of reviews assessing how a number of different movies dealt with legal issues. Rodolphe J.A. de Seife recently published an article in the Hofstra Law Review entitled "The King is Dead, Long Live the King! The Court-Created American Concept of Immunity: The Negation of Equality and Accountability Under Law." In this article, de Seife criticizes the idea of sovereign immunity.
