WELCOME LAW STUDENTS!
Being a section member is an excellent way for students to learn about current issues and gain practical experience in this area of the law. The section is the leading professional membership group focused on Administrative and government regulation. It's more than 18,000 members include law professors, judges, law students, and lawyers working in law firms, corporations, or for the government.
"There are a variety of meaningful leadership positions for students, and students can observe the best and brightest lawyers address some of the leading questions in administrative and regulatory law," says professor Eleanor Kinney, co-director of the Center for Law and Health at Indiana University School of Law.
The Administrative Law section offers its law student members electronic access to quarterly and annual publications such as The Developments in Adminstrative Law & Regulatory Practice, Adminsitrative & Regulatory Law News, and Student Lawyer Magazine; as well as information on a wealth of books, guides, and manuals. Please visit our homepage under the Regular Publications links for online access to these publications.
Law student members can also participate in more than 40 substantive and specialized government functions and administrative law committees active in monitoring and reviewing agency actions, legislation, and case law. Please visit the Committees page for more information and to sign up for one of the committees. Section events include Continuing Legal Education programs, fall and spring conferences, and participation in the ABA's annual and mid-year meetings.
