It is with great pleasure that I announce the 2005
Administrative Law Conference of the ABA Section of Administrative
Law and Regulatory Practice. In addition to our annual Developments
in Administrative Law review, which should bring you up to date
with the major developments in administrative and regulatory law,
we have a wide array of fantastic programs with leading experts
on the important administrative and regulatory law issues of the
day. We are pleased to present a timely panel on challenges to the
administrative process for government in responding to natural disasters.
We are highlighting this program as a plenary to spark a critical
discussion on the role of the administrative process in improving
federal, state, and local response to catastrophic challenges to
life and property. In addition, we are proud to feature our first
E.U. Symposium, showcasing some preliminary findings from our important
Project on Administrative Law of the European Union. As a gracious
end to the conference, we will close with a reception and dinner
at the Cosmos Club, where the Ambassador from the EU will join us
and make remarks. Please join us for what promises to be a most
interesting and fun conference.
