About the Book

Antitrust Law Developments (Sixth) is the seminal comprehensive review of federal antitrust law, with reports on current case law and administrative and legislative developments current through 2006. The Sixth edition replaces the Fifth edition and the annual paperbound supplements.

This 2-volume set updates you on key decisions in the courts and at the enforcement agencies, keeping you current in every area of antitrust practice. Each edition of Antitrust Law Developments is designed to improve upon, as well as update, prior editions, and to ensure consistency with ever-changing developments in this dynamic area of law.

The most significant changes in this sixth edition include the following: Chapter 2, covering monopolization, has been substantially rewritten to accommodate the significant changes in the courts' analysis of single-firm conduct over the past several years; the treatise's brief overview of state antitrust laws now appears in Chapter 7, a separate chapter; the civil government enforcement portions have been consolidated into a single chapter, Chapter 8, which now covers civil enforcement by each of the Federal Trade Commission, the Department of Justice, and the state attorneys general. Criminal enforcement now has its own chapter, Chapter 9, addressing this increasingly important area of antitrust law; Chapter 11, a new separate chapter, provides an overview of consumer protection laws; and Chapter 12, dealing with international antitrust issues, has been expanded, reflecting the increasingly global nature of the economy and the growing influence of antitrust in that global economy.

Antitrust Law Developments (Sixth) is the product of an enormous team effort of Antitrust Section members and is a "must have" for every antitrust practitioner.
