Description

Based on recent developments, two major topics are covered: for whom attorneys can work and what limits apply to multiple representations. Earlier this year the American Bar Association modified its Model Rules on Conflicts of Interest for lateral hires affecting both recruiting from law firms and the government.

Also the Obama Administration has tightened rules for departing government officials who return to private practice. The panel will explore how these rules affect the employment possibilities for attorneys. Moreover, instances of multiple representations and their factual and ethical complications are featured in recent court cases.

The panel will address how these issues arise in government investigations and litigation and suggest steps to take to avoid getting into ethical hot water.

This audio CD package includes 2 audio CDs and printed course materials.
