This three-part series of one-hour, interactive online courses will introduce you to the basics of how real property is conveyed and explain the function of title insurance policies. Part 1 provides an overview of the composite parts of the concepts, rights, and documents that compose real property. After examining the concept of land titles, participants review the basic types of property rights and ownership and examine the attorney's role in title conveyancing including: deeds, lease agreements and mortgages. The final part of this section covers the basics of title commitment, from choosing a title company and ordering the title through a review of the title.
