About Technology Basics
This volume addresses basic issues regarding technology use by attorneys including budgeting, goals, training, security, and support. The volume begins with a trend report summarizing this year's notable results and highlighting changes from previous years. The trend report is followed by detailed charts and tables. (For an example of the table and chart structure, see this sample.)
Technology Basics is the first of six volumes in the 2009 Legal Technology Survey Report. Also available:
"Attorneys; you really need to take note of these statistics. This is where technology is taking us, and you have a clear choice. You can either jump on the bandwagon...or end up chasing it!"
The survey is an annual project of the ABA's Legal Technology Resource Center, a specialized unit providing lawyers, bar associations, law schools, and other legal organizations with information on technology and its use.
The LTRC regularly performs survey research to assess the use of technology in the legal community.
All six volumes of the Center's annual technology survey for 2009, covering a wide range of new technologies available to the legal profession, are now available.
