ABA Web Store Wins Top Honors as Best Associations Website in WebAwards Competition
CHICAGO, Oct. 5, 2007 — The American Bar Association Web store, www.ababooks.org, has been awarded the 2007 Best Associations Website by the Web Marketing Association in its annual international WebAwards competition.
Considered one of the premier Web site award programs, the WebAwards competition receives nominations for best Web site in 96 industry categories. Nominations are submitted by interactive agencies and Web site marketing departments in more than 33 countries around the world.
In winning the Best Associations Website award, the ABA Web store scored a 66.5 out of a possible 70 points for design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copywriting and ease of use.
Automated Graphic Systems, which redesigned the ABA Web Store in 2004, worked closely with the ABA to create the online storefront and later to launch several new modules. They, too, share the award.
With more than 413,000 members, the American Bar Association is the largest voluntary professional membership organization in the world. As the national voice of the legal profession, the ABA works to improve the administration of justice, promotes programs that assist lawyers and judges in their work, accredits law schools, provides continuing legal education, and works to build public understanding around the world of the importance of the rule of law.
