On April 11 & 12, 2007, in Washington, D.C., the ABA AIDS Coordinating Committee hosted a town hall meeting on AIDS, Color and Equality: Removing Barriers to HIV Prevention. The April 11 session featured at-risk youth to hear what they had to say about HIV/AIDS. The April 12 session included lawyers, policymakers, public health experts, representatives of community-based organizations, local service providers and social workers discussing the disparities in HIV/AIDS rates now so prevalent in communities of color and exploring how to address them effectively.
