A Message from the Chair
Thanks to our sponsors and our 2008 Planning Committee, we have hosted another successful practice conference, HIV/AIDS Law and Practice: From Local Client to Global Workforce. Participants ranged from federal officials (Chris Cagle, Ph.D., U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention; Henry Francis, M.D., U.S. Food & Drug Administration; Francis E. Ashe-Goins, R.N., M.P.H., U.S. Department of Health and Human Services; and RADM Deborah Parham-Hopson, Ph., D., USPHS, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services) to world-renowned international human rights activists (Joanne Csete and Jonathan Cohen, alumna of Human Rights Watch).
Despite disruptions caused by airline cancellations and severe storms, nearly 100 participants convened at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas, for this year’s conference. Attendees received the two-track program well and, as a result, we are likely to repeat it. The conference presentations, in PowerPoint and Word, are available by clicking here. Check your e-mail to receive the list of all attendees.
Thanks again to all who worked so hard to make the 2008 conference a success.
