Message from the Chair

On February 3 and 4, 2010, at the ABA Midyear Meeting in Orlando, Florida, the Committee will welcome HIV lawyers, social workers, and health care professionals to its fifth bi-annual HIV/AIDS Law and Practice Conference. Part of the Committee's "Road to Vienna" programming series (see information below), this year's conference, themed "Taking Stock, Looking Ahead," will examine developments in HIV law, policy, practice and advocacy during the Bush Administration and consider likely priorities of the Obama Administration. In a new feature, the conference also will provide information and training to health care professionals on the legal dimensions of care and treatment for people living with HIV or AIDS and how that knowledge can help them better serve their patients.
